Swedish Red PRINT

The original Swedish Red never even made it onto my website. I had posted (on Instagram) a few sneak peeks and that was that. Sold to a lovely collector and new friend.
This is by far, the most popular of my paintings, and to think it almost didn’t happen! Swedish Red had many lives before this one - what made me paint the background red (really a mix of cadmium orange and red), I have no idea, but I absolutely love it.
Swedish Red named for two reasons, the folkloric nature of the painting and it reminded me of the red falun paint used on wooden cottages and barns in Sweden!
