Field Notes from Hampshire
This series of eight original abstract paintings is a meditation of what I observed and felt while walking the historic, countryside surrounding Stockbridge, one of my favorite towns in Hampshire, UK. Moving beyond literal representation, these pieces are a reflection of with atmosphere, memory, and the gentle spirit of the ancient landscape.
Titles like 'Velvet Green' and 'Stillness Found' capture the ephemeral moments: the soft, saturated color of the fields, the subtle shimmer of sun through mist, and the quiet energy that permeates the air.
Each canvas is an invitation to step into a space where time slows, the light diffuses the countryside of the distant hills allows the viewer to discover their own serene memory of the walk, far from the noise of the contemporary world.
